Smart Compress: Photo Reducer is an application developed by Antonio Yee. The app helps you reduce the file size of your photos by compressing them on your device, so they take up less storage and are easier to share.

Information We Collect

Smart Compress: Photo Reducer is designed with privacy in mind. We do not create user accounts or build personal profiles. The app performs its compression and photo processing locally on your device. We do not upload your photos or their contents to our servers.

We collect only limited information necessary to operate the app, process your one-time purchase, and improve stability and experience:

  • Purchase information: Basic purchase status (for example, that you have unlocked the full version) as processed by Apple’s App Store. Smart Compress: Photo Reducer does not access your full payment details.
  • Usage analytics: Anonymous or aggregated app events, such as which screens are used and basic feature usage, collected via Google Firebase Analytics, to understand how people use the app and improve it.
  • Diagnostics & crash reports: Technical diagnostics (e.g., OS version, device model, app version, stack traces at the time of a crash) collected via Google Firebase Crashlytics, to detect and fix bugs.

Smart Compress: Photo Reducer does not send your photos, thumbnails, or the actual image content to Firebase or any external server.

How We Use Data

We use the limited data described above only for the following purposes:

  • To verify that your one-time purchase is active and the full version is unlocked.
  • To understand which parts of the app are useful (analytics) and plan improvements.
  • To diagnose crashes and technical issues (Crashlytics) and improve stability and performance.

We do not use your data for advertising or tracking you across other apps or websites.

Third-Party Services

We rely on trusted providers that may process limited information on our behalf. Please review their privacy information:

  • Apple (App Store) – for processing your one-time purchase and distribution of the app.

We configure Firebase only for product analytics and crash reporting. We do not use Firebase for advertising or marketing campaigns, and we do not share your data with advertisers.

Your Choices

  • System-level controls: You can use Apple’s system privacy settings to limit analytics and diagnostics sharing at the OS level.
  • Photos access: You can grant or revoke Smart Compress: Photo Reducer’s access to your photo library at any time in your iOS Settings.
  • Delete the app: You can delete Smart Compress: Photo Reducer at any time. Deleting the app removes its local data stored on your device.

Security

Smart Compress: Photo Reducer processes your photos locally on your device. We do not run servers that store your photo content.

We rely on Apple and Google Firebase, who implement industry-standard security measures for the purchase process, analytics, and diagnostics. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children’s Privacy

Smart Compress: Photo Reducer is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us so we can address it.

Data Retention

We do not store user profiles or personal entries on our own servers. Purchase records are retained by Apple according to their own policies. Anonymous analytics and diagnostic data are retained by Google Firebase in line with their default or configured retention settings.

Data Sharing and Transfers

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share data with third parties for advertising, marketing, or profiling.

Data collected through Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics is used only to help us understand app performance and diagnose technical issues. This data is processed by Google Firebase as our service provider.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any updates will be posted on this page, and the “Last updated” date will be revised.
